The proprietors of what would become Kibbitznest: Books, Brews & Blarney approached Mauge in the middle of their own quest: What do we lose when people stop talking face-to-face? What happens if we stop having those big idea, collegial, liberal arts conversations? And if we build a space, would anybody show up? Three years later, the Nest continues to grow and receive accolades from around the city for its "no wifi" approach to creating a welcoming space with ample seating, rows and rows of books, amazing coffee and cocktails, and plenty of room to connect.
